For those of you who are eager to follow my progress as an artist you can follow me on Instagram (! I'm way more active on it than DA.

I found out that a great deal of people are unaware of dangers that our oceans face each day because of us, little powerful being that we are. I hope to change the world someday and help this cause first of all.
The oceans really inspire me to draw and to imagine different way to include waters into my drawings. I love to draw water, reproduce the «texture» of the waves. I love the colour blue it is peaceful and a really beautiful one.

It can be hard to imagine how polluted our water is when we barely see any trash or bottle of water floating in the documentary. They must really have a hard time finding a clean spot sometimes. Because last summer, I went to the beach on a trip with my family on the East coast. The only things I saw walking along the shore were trash and tons of cigarettes and plastic bag. I tried to clean what I could but my hands were too small to carry what I could find in 1m square. It really bothered me and I couldn't stop worrying about what our future will look like if we keep acting so carelessly.

I can't type everything that I would like to tell you in one article without writting a 100 pages book. So here some excellent documentaries that I've watched:

1. PLANET OCEAN by Yann Arthus-Bertrand

2. Great Barrier Reef- Miracles - BBC documentary

3. Sharkwarter by Rob Stewart (FRENCH VERSION - couldn't find an English version on Youtube

Some of the information can be false and the critic is based on blurry memory of the past. I appreciate your understanding of the pointless review I am writing to evacuate the little rage I have inside. Mistakes will be corrected at some point in the upcoming year(s). Thank you!

Since it's Christmas time I have plenty of time to do whatever I wanted to do during this semester. That's complete bullshit. It does not change anything at all...Today, I watched Dawn of Planet of the Apes on DVD, which was released earlier this year. I wanted to see it in theatre but I am so glad I didn't go (and saved 30$ *pop corn included*)

History of the Apes in cinema

The serie is based on the novel La Planète des Singes written by French author Pierre Boulle in 1963. The first movie Planet of the Apes was produced in 1968 by an American director Franklin J.Schaffner which is part of the original series. It is followed by Beneath the Planet of the Apes(1970), Escape from the Planet of the Apes(1971), Conquest of the Planet of the Apes(1972) and Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973). Tim Burton – one of my favourite film director and artist – directed a remake of Planet of the Apes in 2001.

Since Hollywood are in their midlife crisis and because the artistic world has ran out of good idea, they decided to reboot the 46th year old franchise starting with The Rise of Planet of the Apes in 2011 directed by Ruper Wyatt. On the wiki-page, they plan to produce 3 movies for the reboot. The movie first was used to set up the background of Caesar, the chef of the apes. The reboot takes place in San Francisco in approximatively around our time. I really enjoyed this movie. There was good actor and the screenplay wasn't so bad – or the screenplay was OK but the pictures was amazing.

The second movie, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, takes place 10 years after the rebellion and the demands for ape’s rights. Since then, Earth (mostly America) was devastated by a terrible pandemic of the ALZ-113 virus. They introduce the movie with a massive flow of informations and dramatic news reports explaining the inability of the US government to deal with a health crisis – which is easy to understand since American can’t afford healthcare. At this point, we are certain that it is pure fiction because Canada would not impose martial laws – assuming Stephen Harper loose one day. The civilization is therefore down to its knees in a Walking-Dead-like atmosphere with no electricity but still a massive armory to keep them safe from...themselves? (Oh America! Your motto is ‘’Guns before foods’’). The humans sidekick are a group of 5-6 humans whom adventure through the forest to fix the hydroelectric dam in order to provide electricity to the community of survivors back in the city. They succeed thankfully to the one dude who seemingly has the same eye colours that Caesar, Malcolm. I really missed James Franco on this one...

Personally, I first saw the actor who plays Malcholm,  Jason Clarke, in movies where he played the antagonist like in The Great Gatsby. His physiognomy fits perfectly to this kind of character in my opinion so it was a bit weird to see him as the good guy. He is really a great actor and did an excellent job on this film. Since the main story really turns around the chef of the apes, I ought to talks about him!
I really appreciated how they presented the wisdom and leadership of Caesar. I am glad they made him so strong as it it was a Marvel's character – maybe a little too much though (But hey! It’s fiction). At some point, I really thought - and little hoped - that they were going to replace Caesar as main character.

Most of the apes were CGI animated. They succeeded in marking a difference between the apes. The details were clear making it easier to recognise each apes. It would have been hard otherwise to watch the movie without losing focus on the story. I haven’t seen any big mistake in animation or any sloppy moves from the apes. Except at some place where it was a little clumsy mistake. The animation looked real and the visual effect were good but not spectacular. They really really abused their 3D camera plan. Near the end, where Koba drives the tank to the tower my eyes were crying for the shame you must have felt after shooting the scene. I can understand the filmmaker. They want to give the money worth to the rich who paid 5$ to see it full 3D with all the special features cinema have invented to steal money from common citizen. But COME ON! This scene was absolute bullshit. It literally felt like being in the 3D Spongebob attraction at UniversalStudio. You could have saved that for your theme park...Really that was a big fail.

I thought the rising actions were longer than usual, it felt that way though. The director failed to catch my attention within one hour of the movie. The actions and the little tickle of emotions slowly comes at the end. There is no big suspense or big surprise of how the plot will unfold – this is a series after all. The movie is not much of an action picture because the actions take tiny place in the plot. They used this movie to set their next movie. We can define it as the ‘’Rising Action’’ movie which means the climax should be in the next movie. I understood this movie was not aim at giving up the big punch at the end. They are planning on splitting the main story into sequels of box-office films before we arrive at the point where the apes are ruling the world. So overall the plot is good.

The movie is perfect for when you have nothing to watch and do not want to have a full-action movie but something that let you thinks a little and feel a little. If you know what I mean. You can’t do two things at the same time such as drawing or browsing and watching the movie because you are going to miss most of the movie. You have to read subtitle when the apes silently speaks to one another. They use sight language and barely speaks throughout the movie, which is why it feels a little slow. I strongly advice you to watch the previous film to refresh your memory because there is a lot of come-back on what had happened in The Rise of Planet of the Apes. The sound is really low sometimes, which is a little annoying because they lower the sound after something loud, so we had to change the volume every time it happened but were too late...(that’s my experiences!). Overall, I give this movie a 6.8/10. And I am still looking forward the next movie which is currently set for July 29, 2016 on their wiki page.

I can tell that this year changed me. I've just finished my first year in college and now it's summer holidays!
This means, I have plenty of time ahead to start working...Though I need to find a job.
Knowing that I'm going to be f* bored to be unemployed (if), if anyone is looking or know someone who is looking for not-so-expensive commission. I'm right here!

Also, if anyone has any activities, movies, documentaries, games, books or any ideas of what to do this summer. Please go ahead.

Have a nice summer time! (even though we are not really Summer, it is still Spring)

Cosmic Love by Maybellez

A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

Little Political Note:
Two years after the Summer Olympic games in London, we are now in Russia near the Georgian border and the Black Sea!Even though Russia just passed a anti-gay-propaganda law, it doesn't mean the athletes should pay for this. To boycott the Games, is boycotting the hard work of the athletes. Russia may be the host country but they host other country such as Sweden and Canada!

I really don't know what to draw on my Christmas cards this year and I could use some help.
Do you have any idea for Christmas this year?

The end of the semester is upon us! I started to draw again.
(''At last! My arm is complete again'' TAM TAM TANN! - Sweeney Todd Scene'')
So I might start to learn new technique any times soon. If you have any request
and don't want to waste cash or points on commission, I'm doing it for free.
(only little ads here and there though). It would really help me! So giving free commission!

Recently I made a Facebook page where I will post some artworks and more. Since I really don't like twitter and don't really understand how to use it (shame on me)
I guessed Facebook would be better to share the next painting I will be working on this summer. <- <- <-click <- present <- past <- > Where? -> <- twilight zone >

Alright, to be honest I am not really good with social network and all that. So I decided to start looking for someone to post for me and make sure I don't make a fool of myself on Facebook. I don't want to screw this up!
If you want or know someone interested to help me with the Facebook Page I will be really happy! You can message me on the FB page, comment box on DeviantArt, or by howl. Nah just kidding. Any flying beast works fine. Though no dragon please...I don't want to clean the mess you know.

Don't be shy! to like my page. I don't stalk and I am not some "cookie-spy" for the FBI or anything like. In fact, I'm Canadian...Or am I? *wink wink*

Enough talking.

Alright, let's try this "journal" thingy.

So my friend Judy  wants me to do her 'tagging' thing. I usually don't get into this sort of "game". But Imma try to do my best.
So here's what I have to do:

1. You must post the rules.
2. Each person must post 6 things about themselves in their journal.
3. You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
4. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged them.
5. No tag backs. *
6. No stuff in the tagging section about "you're tagged if you're reading this". You legitimately have to tag 11 people.
7. Tag backs only allowed after a VERY long time (7-8 weeks) *
8. You must send some sort of icon to the person when you tag them that reminds you of them

So here's my 6 thing about myself:

1. I don't drink water.
2. I hate sleeping...which make my night really short, when ever my body let me.
3. My twin is Mexican
4. I am Asian.
5. I want to learn Arabic and Latin, and maybe Greek, Swedish, German, Japanese, Mandarin and try Spanish again...
6. The only drawing & painting class I took was when I was 7-8 years old (if I am right) and they taught us how to do basic stuff.

Well I hope it's alright! I don't feel like tagging people though. :S
